Autism - Green Our Vaccines

"Autism and autism spectrum disorders are complex neurodevelopmental disorders. Many causes of autism have been proposed, but its theory of causation is still incomplete. Heritability contributes about 90% of the risk of a child developing autism, but the genetics of autism are complex and typically it is unclear which genes are responsible. In rare cases, autism is strongly associated with agents that cause birth defects. Many other causes have been proposed, such as exposure of children to vaccines; these proposals are controversial and the vaccine hypotheses have no convincing scientific evidence." From Wikipedia:

However, if there is even a chance that autism is associated with vaccine impurities we should do everything in our power to clean up our act!

"The number of people known to have autism has increased dramatically since the 1980s, at least partly due to changes in diagnostic practice; it is unknown whether prevalence has increased as well.[8] An increase in prevalence would suggest directing more attention and funding toward changing environmental factors instead of continuing to focus on genetics.

The consensus among mainstream autism researchers is that genetic factors predominate, but some are concerned, as one anonymous researcher put it, that "geneticists are running the show, and ignoring the environmental aspects." From Wikipedia:

In many cases geneticists look mainly at genetic reasons. Here is another example that you may be able to relate to. I recently saw a surgeon for a cyst. When I asked him what I should do he said, "I'm a surgeon, what do you think I'm going to suggest?" and then he smiled. We had a good laugh because he recognized his own predisposition and knew it was not the only course of action.

If a small thing like cleaning up our vaccines to remove suspect impurities would help, why don't we do it? Who knows what other kinds of problems may be associated with impurities? Also, spreading out the vaccine regimen and not vaccinating our children when they are sick with something else could go a long way towards reducing complications. I'm a big fan of keeping things simple and using common sense.
